![]() Keoladeo Ghana national park In the north Indian state of Rajasthan The Keoladeo Ghana National Park earlier known as Bharatpur bird sanctuary is situated in the town Bharatpur.It was given the status of a national park in 1981.The park covers an area of 29 sq.km .The park derives its name from an ancient temple dedicated to lord Shiva in the sanctuary and the term ‘Ghana’ means dense which refers to its thick forest. ClimateDuring April-June the temperature of the parks lies between 38 to 45 degrees C & winter the it goes below 10 degrees C. The best time to visit the park is from October to February when the migratory birds come to visit this park. |
